Dr Edward Bach (1886-1936), a highly regarded homoeopath and Harley Street bacteriologist physician, researched the therapeutic effects of 38 flower essences.

Bach observed seven personality types that showed tendencies to express a particular set of characteristic physical symptoms. Seven different intestinal floras were also identified, each also correlating to specific physical symptoms and personality types.

In this system of healing, you are the focal point of healing, and whatever name is given to your physical disease is secondary. As your mind is the most delicate, the most subtle, the most interior part of your body, it shows the earliest onset and hint at the probable course of disease.

Fear, anxiety, gloom, repetitive thinking and so on, all pave the way for the disease to be expressed. The experience of any bodily symptom is merely a metaphoric voice of something that has originated on a more subtle level.

Hence, the outlook of your mind is the guiding measure to the flower essence that will attune you to a higher harmonious energy, dissolving dis-ease ‘as snow melts away in the sunshine'.
